Who we are & what we do

New Vision Unlimited is a nationally registered not-for-profit community development organization dedicated to equipping people to lead community and school based change (www.newvu.org) . This project is reaching out to educators to provide experiential resources that promote healthy relationships and sexual violence prevention. We invite you to try these activities and provide feedback that would be helpful to other educators.

This project is being led by Erin Horvath and Eric Bortlis. Erin is an experiential educator, collaborative researcher, and social entrepreneur. She works with communities, First Nations, schools and educators to pilot approaches to sexual assault prevention that build empathy, community capacity, and youth empowerment. She is currently completing her Ph.D in Education with a focus on experiential approaches to helping people learn to be change leaders. Eric is Metis educator with a Masters in Educational Leadership. He is currently the Education Director of Lac Seul First Nation where he is looking to support students as they learn to walk in both worlds.
